Good conditions
If you want to play at the course, it is recommended that you call ahead of time. If Mike is not working at his job, he is on some machine that makes a lot of noise and may not hear you show up. One day's notice is usually enough.

Hey it’s a course on Hawaii so at least you have that. Otherwise, I’d put in in the bottom 5 courses I’ve played out of 200+ courses around the world. The owner is grumpy. There’s about 5 holes with actual fairways, otherwise your just trying to squirm between trees. I play a lot of wooded courses so that’s coming from some knowledge. Stuff I can’t blame him for is the off and on rain and absolute soggy/muddy ground. It would definitely ruin your shoes. Luckily we had water shoes so we played in them. I’d say worst thing about the course is that the owner is grumpy and unpleasant to be around. I’d go to other courses. The golf course on the other side of the island by hawi. The owners are so fun and you can use golf carts!

It’s a beautiful course it should be must play if you’re in the area. The owner Mike will walk along with you when I can play and share his experience with you. Great course.

This course is an absolute gem. Mike walked the full course with me, offering caddy advice, as well as a great background on the history and development of the course/property along the way. As a first timer, this was absolutely necessary, because this course would not be the easiest to navigate alone, especially the first time.
This course is not the longest, but the rolling terrain and dense trees provide you with multiple lines to attack the basket on virtually every hole. It is tough, but fair - a true shot-shaping paradise.
If you have the chance to get over to the big island with your discs, this course is a must-play.

This course is VERY wooded, difficult, so on. It’s a drive to get there through potholes and gravel, it may not seem like a lot. The accommodation of Mike and his friends easily makes this course worth it, they help with lines, basket findings, and entertainment. Roger even let me keep a disc from his bag, 100% contact Mike and show up on time. He also has a little shop with some cool Gargoyle Garden discs. Must play on the island.
