Great variety of shots, elevation, and use of park!

Bring extra water and a spotter. Intermediate level course for the first 18 and more casual on the last 9. Lots of fun and beauty

Fun course! Not very beginner friendly, a lot of walking and uphill shots

Course needs a complete redesign of the front 18 and much to be much better marked paths from tee to tee. I was expecting a 4+ star level course and got a hiking trail system with scattered baskets in mindless fashion. Spoiler alert they managed to find a way to build a course that threw up hill at least 70% of the holes. Really don’t think the rating is accurate to the course. Skip this and play Jackson in Rapid City or Pageant Hill in Custer. Or just play the back 9. Long obstructed holes with no maintenance is not artistic design. 27 holes doesn’t make it more fun and hiking up steep rough hills only to not be rewarded with at least a fun approach shot is just lazy. Needs to be stressed this is a hiking path system with baskets scattered across a 500 foot hill.

Absolutely beautiful course! Lots of elevation change. Tons of technical wooded shots. The first 9 is very short, I threw a putter on almost every hole, but still had tough up shots and subsequent putts. The final 9 is the most difficult. 26 & 27 are harder than all the other holes, so remember to focus for those final 2 holes. I could play here every day.

The course has amazing views but is extremely difficult with not only several trees, mandatory lines to follow, bushes, additional dead limbs placed right in front of the basket, specifically hole 5. They should get someone to redesign it so it's a bit easier for newer players. Additionally it's very hard to navigate and find the baskets since there are no signs past the tee showing where to throw, you just have to guess and hope you get close.

Fun scenic course. Good variety of shots. Mix of technical and long. Sometimes difficult to navigate terrain as it is mountains and sometimes difficult to navigate to tee boxes and baskets. Overall beautiful, would highly recommend! Bring extra water and good shoes.

Amazing!

Probably the MOST BEAUTIFUL course I’ve ever played. The terrain is really difficult to navigate, though. The fairways, tee pads, and baskets could all use some additional signage to help players in the right direction

Challenging excellent course.

One of the coolest courses I’ve played from a simple “wow” standpoint. Very difficult to play blind, pay close attention on every single hole.

Great course

Fun to play but boy, oh boy, the flow could be better. Too much unnecessary walking between holes and too many uphill holes that you then have to walk down to the next tee. Love the putting green with nine positions and the gorgeous views. Despite the extra hiking the views are worth it.

Ignore the bad reviews, obviously you can't ride a mower up a mountainside for perfectly manicured fairways. Epic course, fair and challenging. Bring water and good shoes. Must play course if you are passing through.

Challenging short to mid-length holes with a lot of elevation change. Great hike, better for bags than carts. Be sure to check out the view of Spearfish Canyon on 12, 13, and 27!
