About the course
The Captial City Disc Golf Course is located at Saint Stephens Historical Park in Saint Stephens, AL. This 18 hole course goes throughout the historic park and has several historic markers to look at as you play. Several holes go through trees, hills, and slopes. The tee boxes are natural. There is a welcome board at the parking area with the rules of the course as well as score cards. There is no map of the course so you will have to look for the next hole. Parking is by the bathrooms, between holes 17 and 18. Hole 1’s tee pad is next to the RV dump station. You may encounter some wildlife, use caution when playing in the wooded areas. Camping, swimming, hiking, and other recreation are located on the camp ground as well.

The land is beautiful and the course is layed out well but unfortunately it's pretty rough due to the downed trees and high grass. Having said that I had a blast playing through because of the many historic sights and posted boards showing the history of the sight. This place has a ton of potential if it was cleaned up. Hopefully the state can allocate funding in the parks direction. If you're willing to play rough terrain, give it a shot.

Lots of trees down, very overgrown. I’m assuming it’s due to low state funding. Otherwise very historic park and an important part of this state’s history. St.stephens county is dry so go across the river to Jackson for booze for you real disc golphers

Lots of terrain changes so be prepared to hike. When we visited it was post hurricane so there were tons of trees down and the grass is really high in places
